Injured by Avandia? Get Your Share of the $6 Billion!

Avandia alleged to have dangerous side effectsGlaxoSmithKline, maker of Avandia, may face up to $6 billion (that’s $6,000,000,000.00!) in lawsuit liabilities, according to a recent analysis by UBS.

Avandia (rosiglitazone) is used to treat type 2 diabetes and has been used by millions of patients since its introduction in 1998. It was soon suspected of causing serious side effects in some patients. These include heart attack, heart failure, stroke, liver failure, bone fractures, vision loss, and in some cases, death.

Avandia litigation and lawsuits are mushrooming, but the company still has not removed the product from the market.

If you are currently taking Avandia, you would be wise to consult your doctor regarding the appropriateness and safety of the drug for you. And if you have suffered any side effects, you may, of course, wish to consult a personal injury attorney with experience in pharmaceutical cases.

I was taking Avandia 3 years ago prescribed by the Veterans Administration and suffered a heart attack which left the nerves in my legs all cramped up. I worked like that for two years until June 20 of last year when I could no longer stand the pain in my legs. I have been out of work since then and am now on SSD. Is there anything I can do?

We can’t give legal advice, but it definitely sounds like you should consult an attorney in your area.
